Cecilia Odalys Mendoza was born in Amarillo, Texas in 2001. She has received an Associates in science from Amarillo College and is currently pursuing a B.F.A in Studio Art with a concentration in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas’ College of Visual Arts and Design. She draws inspiration from her own experiences, emotions, and the Surrealism movement. Her works contain themes of identity, insecurities, and dream-like scenarios as she explores ways to materialize her ideas onto the canvas, various paintings, and studies. She has shown work in group exhibitions and is a former member of the mural group Blank Spaces that is based in Amarillo, Texas. She currently lives and is attending school in Denton, Texas
